Studio Fang is an architectural practice established in 2025, built upon founder Edwin Fang's extensive and varied design background. Before launching the firm, Edwin served as a lead designer at prestigious practices like Hodgetts + Fung Architects, NAC Architecture, and Johnson Fain, where he contributed to multidisciplinary, award-winning projects—from bespoke single-family homes and performing art centers to large-scale educational facilities. Studio Fang now focuses on integrating this multifaceted experience with a strong commitment to sustainability. Utilizing cutting-edge technology and principles like Passive House, the firm specializes in projects such as fire rebuilds, seeking a thoughtful and balanced synthesis of design, technology, and environmental responsibility.

Edwin Fang l AIA l LEED AP
Edwin Fang is a licensed architect whose two decades of experience in Los Angeles culminates in the founding of Studio Fang in 2025. His design philosophy is deeply shaped by his unique multicultural journey. Born in Taiwan, he spent his formative high school and college years in South Africa, earning his Bachelor's degree from the University of Cape Town in 2001. He then moved to the United States, further refining his expertise with a Master's degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in 2006. This diverse global perspective informs his approach to design, seeking to balance cultural context with contemporary innovation.
